Super happy for you, Rav, and only a little bit envious ;) Sam seems to occupy the same place in your mind as he does for me; a steady voice of wisdom and reason in a time of madness -- both personal, as a young man figuring out his place in the world, and societal, as the world itself seems increasingly bent on some cultural rapture. I love what you're doing here, and look forward to reading your future work. Keep killing it

You are pretty much where I am now, but I'm 63, so...you are ahead of the game.

Sam Harris has fallen a few notches in my esteem with his unscientific denunciation of Bret Weinstein. But that's not his area of expertise, so I'm giving him a mulligan on that.

I feel that way too.

I started losing respect for Harris a few years ago. His more recent spouting on issues of a current nature, left me feeling annoyed and disappointed in Harris' ability to be so super intelligent yet unbearably dumb. Whether it's Palestine, Ukraine, Covid, Jabs, or otherwise, Sam Harris now resides on the same shelf as Degrasse Tyson. The guilty of being myopic shelf. Their shortsighted opinions have contributed, if not directly, to the deaths of many innocents while the selective Elite profit massively, and shamelessly.

Is there an audio recording of this conversation? Sounds like would definitely be worth listening too.

This pandemic has made everyone bat shit crazy, this is part of a FB comment I left

It is a really really weird pandemic. In Canada, despite exploding numbers hospitalizations are way way down, to the point the pandemic is almost over. South of the border it gets even weirder. US states with high vaccination (mostly northern Liberal states) rates and mandates are being crushed by covid while southern states with low vax rates and no mandates life has returned to normal and are not doing not to badly.

I simply follow Jon Kay's advice (for adults) get vaxed, get boosted and start living life. It's as simple as that.
