Megyn Kelly: "I Don't Want To Lose You"
Go do yourself a favour and watch this beautifully heart-wrenching podcast interview.
How Psychedelics Can Help, Drug Addiction, and Nature of Consciousness, with Dr. Roland Griffiths
Hi everyone,
I don’t usually just recommend people go watch things here, but in this case I am. After my humble recommendation to her team, Megyn Kelly had pioneering psychedelic researcher Dr. Roland Griffiths on her podcast to talk about his revolutionary research in treating depression, smoking addiction, and other mental illnesses.
They began talking about Roland’s mind-boggling research on treating cancer patients suffering from end-of-life depression with psilocybin therapy (active compound in “magic mushrooms”) in one study — and it eventually got really heart-wrenching as they began to talk about Roland’s own recent terminal cancer diagnosis.
The whole interview is fascinating, the last half hour about Roland’s looming death, and the ending is spectacular — just spectacular. Very few words to describe it.
Lots of tears, heart-to-heart connection, and Roland actually consoling Megyn for feeling sad that he’s going to die soon.
Megyn: “I don’t want to lose you…”
I will give my full thoughts later — I’m still emotionally processing like Megyn — but please go watch this interview (link above) as it will help you reflect on your own finite time in this sacred, God-gifted life.

Rav--I listened to this excellent interview when it was released a couple of days ago. (I had no idea you were behind this guest introduction.) I learned so much and appreciated the message of hope for people who suffer from a variety of psychological and physical ailments. The final half hour proved both gut-wrenching and uplifting. Although I wholeheartedly believe life is a precious gift, this dialogue was a good reminder to treasure every moment we have on this planet. I have encouraged others to give it a listen as well. I'm glad you're doing the same. Thank you, Rav!
Just finished “The myth of normal”, by Gaber Mate’. His many years of research, 40+ years, have yielded similar information. While I don’t agree with everything he says, his observations using psychedelics and his personal transformation is eye-opening
